Organized by TMX Group, Owner of Canada’s Largest Stock Markets: the Toronto
Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSX-V). Top Experts Will Provide
Training on Project Valuation and Financial Ecosystems.
As part of the Sustainable Mining Summit, taking place on November 27, 28, and 29,
Mendoza will host a premier-level training program organized by TMX Group, the owner
of Canada’s largest stock markets: the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture
Exchange (TSX-V). This unprecedented event in Argentina is one of the most prestigious
courses worldwide. Participants will be able to attend for free, as it is included in the
summit’s agenda for registered attendees.
The first session, on November 28 at 10 a.m., will feature the opening ceremony of the
Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) from Mendoza, followed by a joint panel with the stock
exchanges of Toronto and Argentina.
Throughout the morning, in addition to presenting opportunities for Mendoza based on
copper market projections, sustainability actions by leading companies, the role of banks
in mining development, and the function of local capital market actors, the following
training sessions and short courses will be held:
TMX Training: “Navigating TSX Financing: Understanding NI 43-101 and the Role of a Qualified Person
(QP)”
The training session, titled “Navigating TSX Financing: Understanding NI 43-101 and the
Role of a Qualified Person (QP),” will provide attendees with an in-depth understanding
of the NI 43-101 standard, a key Canadian regulation governing the public disclosure of
technical and scientific information on mining projects. This standard is essential for
ensuring transparency and investor confidence, which are crucial pillars for financing
mining projects in international markets.
Short Course: “Essential Insights for Securing Financing through Capital Markets for Mining
Projects”
This course provides project owners, financial entities, geologists, and professionals
in the mining sector with a comprehensive understanding of capital markets and their
relevance for financing mining projects.
The modules include key topics such as an introduction to capital markets, led by
Dale Mah; strategies for building the ideal company, presented by Nicole Bell; mining
project evaluation with Joe Mazumdar; and lessons learned from the buy-side perspective,
presented by Neil Adshead. This course aims to strengthen participants’ ability to access
global financing effectively.
The Role of TSX and TSX-V in Global Mining Financing
TSX and its division TSX-Venture have played a crucial role in financing mining companies
globally, providing a suitable environment for financing exploration-stage projects.
TSX-V is notable for equipping these companies with the tools necessary to attract capital,
ensuring visibility and liquidity in a market recognized for its high standards of institutional
quality.
These training sessions are an ideal opportunity for mining project owners, financial
entities, geologists, and industry professionals seeking to maximize financing opportunities
in prestigious markets such as TSX and TSX-V.
Hosting this training in Mendoza underscores the province’s growing importance as an
innovation and mining development hub in Argentina. The event promises to be a catalyst
for strengthening local capabilities in financing and international projection, contributing
to a more transparent, competitive, and globalized mining environment.
