As part of the Sustainable Mining Summit, Mendoza will host a top-tier training session organized by TMX Group, the owner of Canada's largest stock exchanges: the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSX-V). Leading experts will provide training on project valuation and the financial ecosystem.
As part of the Sustainable Mining Summit, taking place on November 27, 28, and 29, Mendoza will host a premier training session organized by TMX Group, the owner of Canada’s largest stock exchanges: the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSX-V).
This event, unprecedented in Argentina, is one of the most prestigious courses in the world. Participants will have the opportunity to attend it free of charge, as it is included in the agenda for those registered for the summit.
On the first session, on November 28 at 10 a.m., the opening bell ceremony of the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX; Toronto Stock Exchange) will be conducted from Mendoza. This will be followed by a joint panel featuring representatives from both the Toronto and Argentine stock exchanges.
Throughout the morning, in addition to presentations on Mendoza's opportunities based on copper market projections, sustainability initiatives by leading companies, the role of banks in mining development, and the function of local capital market actors, the following training sessions and short courses will be offered:
TMX Training: “Navigating TSX Financing: Understanding NI 43-101 and the Role of a Qualified Person (QP)”
The training session, titled “Navigating TSX Financing: Understanding NI 43-101 and the Role of a Qualified Person (QP)”, will provide attendees with an in-depth understanding of the NI 43-101 standard, a key Canadian regulation governing the public disclosure of technical and scientific information about mining projects. This standard is essential for ensuring transparency and building investor confidence, which are critical pillars for financing mining projects in international markets.
Short Course: “Essential Insights for Securing Financing through Capital Markets for Mining Projects”
This course offers project owners, financial institutions, geologists, and mining professionals a comprehensive understanding of capital markets and their importance in financing mining projects.
The modules include key topics such as an introduction to capital markets, presented by Dale Mah; strategies for building the ideal company, led by Nicole Bell; evaluation of mining projects with Joe Mazumdar; and lessons learned from the buy-side perspective, presented by Neil Adshead. This course aims to strengthen participants' capabilities to effectively access global financing.
Relevance of TSX and TSX-V in Global Mining Financing
The TSX and its TSX-Venture division have played a crucial role in financing mining companies worldwide, providing a supportive environment for exploration-stage projects. TSX-V excels in equipping these companies with the tools to raise capital, ensuring visibility and liquidity in a market recognized for its high standards of institutional quality.
These training sessions represent an ideal opportunity for mining project owners, financial institutions, geologists, and sector professionals looking to maximize financing opportunities in prestigious markets like TSX and TSX-V.
Hosting this training in Mendoza highlights the province’s growing importance as a hub of innovation and mining development in Argentina. The event promises to serve as a catalyst for strengthening local capacities in securing financing and international projection, contributing to a more transparent, competitive, and globalized mining sector.
